And yes , penguins , kangaroos , koalas, and a whole lot of animals that are not found in the middle east wasn’t mentioned in the bible, especially with the ark and the great flood. And why ? Maybe the writer never met the said animals and/or was only exaggerating when he said that all animals found on this planet can fit inside the ark.
The bible says in Proverbs that a righteous man cares for the needs of his animal. (Be it a cat, dog, bird, fish, or whatever)…
Just because the word, “voo doo” is not in the bible does not mean it is not a sin. We all know that astrology, magic arts, etcetera are not condoned by God. Likewise, we know that voo doo is not condoned by God, either. Not every single word in the dictionary (such as cat) will be found in the bible. God often lumps things into general categories and expects us to use our Holy-Spirit inspired and God-given discernment regarding the details of His messages.
The bible also says that Jesus did MANY MORE healings than are recorded in the bible! Likewise, God chose not to mention the names of every single animal in the bible because there are so many of them. Consequently, God chooses to lump cats under the category of “every living thing that moves on the earth.”
And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens AND OVER EVERY LIVING THING THAT MOVES ON THE EARTH.”
God could have said “have dominion over the sharks, whales, dolphins, siamese cats,, etc”, but you get the general gist of His message… and that’s all that counts!
